Thank you

Thank you, thank you and thank you very much for sending the beautiful memories book for my Mum and Dad.  It is even better than I imagined.  I have shown it to a number of my friends and they are now thinking whom they can buy one for!  Thank you also for pushing it through so quickly, it is very much appreciated.  I was out when the postman came so I had to pick it up, I didn’t know what I was picking up and was very excited when I realised what it was!  The extras were a lovely touch too,  I am now excited spending quality time with my Mum and Dad filling it in with them.

Thank you.

My sister loves her Memories book

February 11, 2008 on 5:33 am | In News, Testimonials | No Comments

My sister has received her Memories book and loves it.

She said it made her cry before she’s even filled any of it in.  Also she was thrilled with the archive pen.

So many thanks again.

I have to say I was absolutely thrilled with the books.  You’ve done a lovely job with the photographs and the range of questions is amazing.  Such a personal gift.  I can’t wait to give them to my parents …  Thank you so much for doing such a lovely job and so quickly.

The mummy diaries

November 20, 2007 on 4:33 am | In News | No Comments

The bond between a mother and her child is an extraordinary one. But what happens when that bond is broken by the premature death of the mother? Ground-breaking three-part series The Mummy Diaries follows five ordinary families who face the unthinkable – a life without Mum.

It’s a wonderful although heartbreaking series and I’m really proud that my Little Boxes of Big Thoughts are used during the process to help some of the mothers write down their thoughts to leave for their children.

Here’s a quote from Dawn Hughes, one of the mum’s featured:

“There are these cards she gives you to fill in,’ says Dawn. ‘”I love you because…”, “When I’m not with you I miss you because…” You know, if you’re not here, that physical side that tells your kids you love them disappears. You can’t hug them. The memory boxes are a way of passing on your love. It’s an opportunity, as hard as it sounds.”

And, as stated on the Channel 4 website, ‘it will be a unique and permanent reminder for your child that you and they share a secure and loving relationship, no matter what.’

Of course, our Little Boxes of Big Thoughts can be used by anyone to create meaningful memories of important relationships. I created them initially to make sure my mum and dad knew how much I loved them, but they are just as suitable for partners, friends and children - imagine how precious they could be to a teenager going through those ‘difficult’ years….

I’m thrilled with it

I’m thrilled with it, the questions are great, and I have already started asking some. Unfortunately my grandparents are no longer able to write in it themselves, but this means that I have the perfect excuse to spend some extra time with them.

We received your books all well and fine and I am excited to be able to wrap them for presents. On the whole I found the books excellent quality, the questions well thought out and fun and a good prompt to get people thinking! I will definitely be telling other people about them as I think they can provide an important link between generations.

Your website is easy to navigate around, looks nice and has a nice amount of detail on there.

Thank you once again, and good luck with it all!

Worth more than gold and diamonds…

November 14, 2007 on 10:27 am | In Testimonials | No Comments

Worth more than gold and diamonds to me is a book of life memories completed by my Father who has since passed away.

To me it is literally priceless.

The book, which contains lots of ready to answer questions which act as fantastic triggers to unlock memories that might otherwise be lost for ever, can be purchased from a company called Priceless Treasures.

I cannot recommend these books highly enough - for only £10 plus a little time, a really priceless memoire can be created. I think everyone should complete a memories book like this - they bring family trees to life.

Edward
